past eventsLadies Day Date: Thursday, 5th November 2009 A perfect way to finish a fantastic week of Spring Racing Carnival events in Adelaide, Hotel Richmond held it's Ladies Day event on Thursday November 5th. It was held in the fabulous first bar, lounge & restaurant. The event was held to raise funds and awareness for The Breast Cancer Foundation and it was a perfect excuse to put on a cute frock and support a good cause. Guests were treated to a Belvedere Vodka Cocktail on arrival, fittingly titled ‘Pretty in Pink' and were served a selection of gourmet finger food throughout the afternoon. A smaller section was sectioned off with white draping curtains and was turned into every girls dream powder room to re-apply make-up with the help of Elizabeth Arden cosmetic professionals. Entertainment included hearing the inspirational stories of three women and their battles with breast cancer, a bachelor auction and two fashion parades. The day was hosted by Nova 91.9's Claire Murphy and the mood was set by house DJ David Bowley who played a mix of lounge with disco influences. To view event flyer click on the image! |
